Coco's Island

A few weeks ago, we took advantage of our friends having a "Guam bucket list" and joined them for some fun, kinda random, must do's before they left. One of these was a day trip to a tiny little island just off the southern coast of Guam. It's not far- maybe a 10-15 minuted boat ride, which the kids enjoyed. But they guys decided to charter their own private ride over...in kayaks. ;)

those little spots in the water would be the guys

It was a really fun way to spend our Sunday. Not really anything to do there- just the beach, some light hiking, and hanging out. But good company and worth the trip.

October Rewind

For some reason, last month seems to have passed exceptionally fast!? It was a great month (has always been my favorite), but a particularly sad one for us. We found ourselves saying goodbye to some really great friends, yet again. We had a lot of fun though during our last few weeks with them...

                                 Decorating cupcakes...

"uh...ya"

our finished product (no...this is not partially eaten! hah)

Decorating Pumpkins...

And Halloween. For some odd reason I decided to make Q's costume this year. Mostly because majority of the costumes available for kids are not that different than a snow suit (for good reason-just not so good if you live on Guam) We didn't actually trick or treat or anything. But she enjoyed it just the same. Oh...she's an owl, by the way. ;)

sadly, the best picture I have of Norah from the day. Blurry and shot in the mirror from my phone.

random update of recent happenings...

Nothing super exciting going on. But I just thought I'd share some photos of the fun stuff we've been up to.

So Quin has been super into "crafts" and art now. We did a messy art day with her BF Lena.

One of the local schools held a Nickelodeon sing-a-long show. Quin didn't know many of the characters...but still fun.

Another trip to play port.

Sharing tea with Norah. ;)

The pool, of course.

Another art day. This time...Side walk chalk paint. Quin had so much fun with this! But about 10 minutes after we finished up, we heard a knock at the door and were asked to wash away our "art" as it was taking away from the "beauty" of the complex. Ugh

This one...I have no idea. They're toddlers. Enough said.

Guam Naval Hospital

So...this is what it's all been for. It's a picture heavy post- but for those of you that are interested, this is a look at what brought us way over here to Guam.
