Experience the Warmth...

Today, we spent the afternoon taking in a little culture at the annual Micronesia Island Festival. It is a yearly event in which all the islands from the area come together here on Guam to share the goods, trades, and foods of their local people. They also put on demonstrations of native dances to traditional music.

"man, it's hot out here!"
Why does Norah look like Alfalfa!??

(really hard to see) coconut crabs

We met up with a few friends and made a day of it. The little ones had a blast just running around. But the highlight for them was probably the carabao rides- a tradition here on Guam. It was Quin's first time and she loved it so much, our friend Phil was nice enough to take her for an encore. ;)

It was hot and sticky (in true Guam fashion) but other than a couple light showers- it was a really fun day. Although, while it is a nice way of putting it...I am going to suggest they rethink their slogan? I'm just sayin'... :)
